1. Introduction
VietBiz ("we", "us") operates vietbiz.pro, a free job board and business-listing marketplace for the nail and beauty industry. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using VietBiz you agree to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect: (a) Account information from the provider you sign in with — Google or Facebook — which may include your name, email address, and profile picture. When you sign in with Facebook we receive only your public profile and, if you grant it, your email; Facebook may not always provide an email address. (b) Profile details you add, such as display name, location, ZIP code, and language preference. (c) Listing content you submit, including business title, description, address, and contact phone or email. (d) Messages you exchange with other users through our chat. (e) Uploaded photos. (f) Technical data such as device and log information collected automatically to keep the service secure and reliable.
3. Facebook Login Data
If you sign in with Facebook, we receive your name, profile picture, and (when permitted) email address from Facebook solely to create and authenticate your VietBiz account. We do not post to Facebook on your behalf, and we do not sell or share your Facebook data with advertisers. You can disconnect VietBiz from your Facebook account at any time in your Facebook settings under Settings & Privacy → Apps and Websites.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: create and secure your account; publish and manage the listings you create; enable messaging between buyers and sellers; send transactional and notification emails you have opted into; provide customer support; and detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. Listing content and the display name you choose are public by design. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf — including Supabase (authentication and database), Amazon Web Services / Cloudflare R2 (photo and file storage), Stripe (payments, if you make a purchase), Resend (email delivery), and Sentry (error monitoring) — and when required by law.
6. Your Privacy Controls
VietBiz offers a Private Mode for listings that hides your name, address, and phone number from buyers so they can only reach you through in-app chat. You can edit or remove your listings and profile information at any time from your account.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.
8. Data Deletion Instructions
You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. There are three ways to do this:
- In the app, open your profile settings and choose the account-deletion option.
- Email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete your data.
- If you signed in with Facebook, you can also disconnect VietBiz under Facebook Settings & Privacy → Apps and Websites; to fully delete the data VietBiz holds, use one of the two options above.
We will confirm your request and permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations. These are also VietBiz's data deletion instructions for the purposes of Facebook Login.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
VietBiz is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of VietBiz after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
